Intro to Floral Watercolour Painting Workshop

Dreaming of being able to paint beautiful, fluffy, loose watercolour flowers that dance across the page? Or perhaps you're looking for a creative, relaxed, fun activity for a birthday, bridal shower or team day.Join Ellen for a break from life, some time for yourself, in a mindful, social and creative setting while learning the magic of watercolour.In this two hour class, we will begin by learning the foundational skills of watercolour painting, including how to hold and use the brushes to create different lines and shapes, colour mixing and basic colour theory, and the fundamental watercolour techniques.The skills build upon each other and will be used in practice exercises to fine-tune your brush skills and understand how the watercolour paint reacts on the paper. Once you’re feeling confident about the techniques, we will then learn how to use basic shapes and brush movements to create flowers, leaves and other floral elements. We will then create a final floral piece for you to take home.By the end of this class, you will have learnt basic watercolour skills and techniques, and understand how to create flowers and their elements using your brush skills. You will feel calm and relaxed as you continue to paint flowers, and fall in love with creating these beautiful, loose, blooming pieces.We will also discuss materials and Ellen will provide a list of her favourite supplies, so you feel comfortable starting your watercolour collection!Note: This is available at a Brunswick Studio location, or as a mobile class where we come to you!
