You will also receive a digital copy of my supplies guide so you can feel confident shopping for your own supplies after class.2 or 3 hr class durations availableWhat to expect:In this watercolour class, we will begin by learning the foundational skills of watercolour painting, including how to hold and use the brushes to create different lines and shapes, colour mixing and basic colour theory, and the fundamental techniques of watercolour.The skills build upon each other and will be used in practice exercises to finesse your brush skills and understand how the watercolour paint reacts on the paper. Once you’re feeling confident about the techniques, we will then learn how to use basic shapes and brush movements to create flowers, leaves, and other floral elements. We will then either create 1 or 2 final pieces (depending on the class length) for you to take home.Outcome:By the end of this class, you will have learnt basic watercolour skills and techniques and understand how to create flowers and their elements using your brush skills. You will feel calm and relaxed as you continue to paint flowers and fall in love with creating these beautiful loose, blooming pieces.We will also discuss materials, and I will provide a list of my favourite supplies at the completion of class, so you feel comfortable starting your watercolour collection! 1-2 completed artworks plus all practice pieces and exercises, so many new watercolour skills, to be able to go home and feel confident to continue painting, and a digital copy of my watercolour supplies guide.
