Stephen, our tutor, was understanding and patient. Always a good start. He clearly explained the correct use of the tools being used, the steps involved in the carving, and hovered around to provide advice. I don't think my spoon is quite up to Christmas gifting quality, but I did learn a lot, and I enjoyed the class. I'll be looking for similar opportunities.

I left with a huge smile and a masterpiece of a spoon :) Great teachers who are friendly, patient and give very good explanations and demonstrations. I couldn’t believe how well everyone’s hand carved item turned out. The course made us feel competent in just one session. I’d highly recommend this course to anyone that’s interested in hand carving timber or creating something beautiful.

The teachers were excellent - they were more than happy to share their knowledge. Each person in the class made something unique and different. I am very pleased with my spoon and intend on learning more about wood carving in future. Enjoyed chatting with the other people doing the class at the same time. Great location.

I worked 1 on 1 with Jess downstairs who was kind and lots of fun! Very happy to walk out with an adorable wombat!

She was so friendly and accommodating in the lead up to the class, even adjusting her class timetable and adding new class time options in advance so that I could join. At the class, we had a choice of a lovely range of wood, and learned great tips and guidance for carving our spoons safely. Catie is an awesome teacher and we had such an enjoyable afternoon carving beautiful spoons to use for years to come. The class space in Wilston is lovely, with lots of natural light and breezes. Highly recommend!

Skill is somewhat required to make a nice looking spoon within the time frame, however, sanding and balming can be completed after the class. Both Katie and Steve were very patient people and happy to guide us. Overall, a pleasant and rewarding experience, and I hope to have the spoon for years to come.

Make the leap and go for it, you won’t be sorry. I’ve got a fancy new spoon and enjoyed a wonderful morning with Steve and co. It was a great atmosphere for everyone and each person enjoyed seeing the fruits of their labour. I’m tempted to go back and try a more advanced lesson like a wombat figurine. 10/10

Steve and Catie were so personable and we were had a great time getting to know them throughout our class. They were very knowledgable and guided us through techniques, the types of wood and safe practices. We are eager to attend another class and will treasure our spoons.

When approaching the teachers they were very helpful and knowledgeable. Very friendly. I think they should have a break in the middle for Q and A. Overall was a fun interesting class.
