This engaging four week course is intended for students who have attended our popular beginners woodworking course or have some woodworking experience and wish to build on and broaden their skills in a safe and inclusive environment.
You will learn a range of interesting techniques including:
  • Cutting mitre joins with grain matching
  • Using a domino machine - and how to make a jig for it
  • Cutting rebates by hand, table saw, and straight cut router bit
  • Cutting a round table top on a table saw (yes, that's right!)
  • Cutting a round table top on a bandsaw and flush cutting router bit
  • How to use a drill press
By the end of the course, you will get to make a beautiful custom side table with a round top and double lap joints and a small serving board with a custom handle. Both pieces are made from 100% recycled Australian hardwood.

Knowledge required
This is an intermediate level course for those who have attended our beginners woodworking course or who have some recent woodworking experience and wish to build on their skills.
What to bring
Please wear covered shoes or steel-capped boots if you have them. Wear old clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.

This class series runs over 4 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week.
