I'm Isha - an artist, DJ, and artist development coach. I have been working in the music industry for a few years now, and my primary purpose is to help people from all backgrounds and experiences find joy in the practice of DJing, help them find and shape their sound in a way that's unique to them, and help artists trust in their own unique path. Being a producer and a DJ has taught me so much, and I am constantly learning about myself even more on a daily basis. It's a spiritual practice for me, and I've seen how much the art of DJing truly has the capability to inspire others to create a better life for themselves, heal in deeper ways, and remember what joy is supposed to feel like again.I have always found it incredibly important to take risks in terms of creating your own sound (both on and off the dance floor), to never stop finding the methods that work for you, and to challenge your own limitations on what you accept for yourself as an artist. As the music industry is always changing, I believe wholeheartedly it's important for up-and-coming artists to stay true to themselves throughout the whole journey forward. Music speaks to each of us in unique ways, so we should never suppress what feels best to us when playing the genres that speak most to us.Teaching brings me so much purpose, not only from being able to share my knowledge but also from hearing the stories of people who come to me for DJ lessons. As I teach from a holistic basis, I not only put emphasis on beatmatching and EQ'ing but also on developing your own unique sound, helping you find what makes you stand out, and allowing you to sharpen both your technical and creative abilities. Because when you're aligned with your creativity, the magic of a newer, vibrant reality awaits you.I have been regularly playing around Melbourne and releasing tracks. I have supported some incredible artists and have been immensely grateful for every opportunity gifted. Teaching students on a 1:1 basis can also entail advice on getting more gigs, as well as any related career advice.
