Looking for fun activities in Melbourne? Learn the art of making traditional Italian Ndunderi at this hands-on cooking masterclass at Henry and the Fox! Ndunderi is a type of pasta that comes from the Campania region of Italy, particularly associated with the town of Minori on the Amalfi Coast.

Ndunderi are similar to gnocchi but are made primarily with ricotta cheese, flour, and eggs. This results in a lighter, more delicate dumpling compared to the often potato-based gnocchi found elsewhere.

Upon arrival, enjoy a glass of Prosecco to welcome you to our masterclass and set the stage for an unforgettable day of fun, learning and indulgence. Then Executive Chef Malcolm Williams will guide you through a hands-on experience where you will learn how to create this heavenly lemon and ricotta gnocchi with a delicious pork and fennel ragu that is both delicious and will also impress guests when you prepare at home (we’ll give you special recipe cards to take with you).

Once you have completed your masterpiece, you can enjoy your creation accompanied by a fresh rocket and parmesan salad followed by a signature chocolate cannolo and your choice of barista-made “Ranges” coffee to finish.

This class is perfect for pairs, with a maximum of three guests per cooking station for a personal and relaxed experience.

Please note:

This class will be 2 people per learning station. In the case of an odd number in the class one station will be a station of 3 people.

Vegan Guests

Vegan guests will enjoy making the gnocchi with other guests.

A vegan substitute will be provided for the ragu for those with a vegan diet.

At time of combining the ragu with the gnocchi a vegan pasta option will be provided instead of the gnocchi.

A vegan option will be provided instead of the gnocchi for dessert.

Gluten Free Guests

A gluten free option will be provided for the dessert for gluten free guests.

Halal Guests

A Mediterranean ragu will be provided instead of the pork ragu for halal guests.

Guests can enjoy an Italian Spritz or a seasonal cocktail served with their meal.

 

Pre-class canapés
Start the experience with a selection of canapés served before the class begins. Options include:

  • Chorizo, red pepper & black olive tapenade crostini
  • Wagyu meatballs with arrabbiata dipping sauce, aged parmesan & parsley

A three-piece canapé selection is also available, featuring one of each canapé per person.

 

Arrival grazing platter
Welcome your guests with a generous shared platter featuring a selection of Australian and imported cured meats and cheeses, grilled and pickled vegetables, Mt Zero olives, house-made dips, crisp breads and toasted flatbread.

 

Add to your meal
Additional sides can be added to enjoy with your meal, including Italian flatbread, French fries and sweet potato fries.

Vegan, halal, vegetarian and gluten-free substitutes are available on request.
