In this two-hour class, you will learn how to make clover flowers that never die and design jewellery for daily wear.

What we'll show you:

  • An introduction of application of fabric flowers in haute couture and home decoration
  • Demonstration of special fabric treatment with a resin glue
  • Fabric petal shaping and twisting technique
  • Petal final assembling
  • Care and treatment for long-lasting flowers
  • Further design ideas using the flower making technique
  • Jewellery making technique with fabric flowers

All materials are provided on the day and you'll leave the class with your choice of a bracelet, earrings or necklace, made entirely by you!

Suitable for

This class is a great indoor activity idea for individuals and couples as well as for a birthday or hens party.

This is a fun indoor activity, suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 12 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

Your teacher

Vivian Qiu is a sentimental jewellery designer. She holds a Bachelor (Honours) degree in Fashion Design in RMIT. Her jewellery practice focuses on reflective designing based on emotions, stories, and memories.

She explores a variety of non-traditional materials in her practice, including rice fabric created by herself, recycled electrical wires, treated fabric and so on.

Vivian has been running creative hands-on workshops since 2015. She has worked with Signal, City of Melbourne, Geelong Wool Museum, and Immigration Museum.

Her Sentimental Rice Jewellery project has been selected as part of the Melbourne Fashion Festival and Melbourne Design Week 2021.
