Hi, I'm Julie!

I started baking about three years ago, and like many people, it began as a hobby. After making my first Basque cheesecake, I became obsessed with getting that perfectly burnt top and creamy centre. I kept experimenting, adjusting the recipe and baking again (and again!) until I found a version I absolutely loved.

Since then, I've baked more than 500 Basque cheesecakes and have sold them to classmates, colleagues and customers through online orders. I've also taught my friends how to make them, and seeing how surprised they were by how easy it is inspired me to start sharing my recipe with more people.

I love teaching because I believe baking should be fun, relaxing and something anyone can enjoy. Seeing someone who has never baked before leave with a beautiful cheesecake and the confidence to make it again is the most rewarding part for me.

I believe Basque cheesecake is one of the easiest and most forgiving cakes to make. It's hard to go wrong, making it perfect for beginners while still being delicious enough to impress your family and friends. I can't wait to bake with you!
