Get ready to embark on a sewing adventure designed just for kids in our exciting sewing class right here in Melbourne!In this fun and interactive sewing course, kids will dive into the world of sewing and create amazing projects to take home. All ages, genders and abilities welcome!At SOSU, we believe that sewing is a wonderful life skill, and we want to share it with you. Learning how to alter and mend the things that you have as well as learning the skills to create your own gorgeous garments will help you to be more creative and sustainable. We offer a wide range of full and half-day workshops or ongoing courses that will build, refresh or consolidate your sewing skills. We have a great mix of beginner and skilled sewists of all ages learning at our school.We can also arrange private lessons for those that learn better one-on-one. When it’s just you and your teacher you can really tackle that special project with confidence.Our back story: The School of Sewing & Upcycling was established in 2015. Set up in a small shop in Buckley Street, Footscray, where Gaye (the original owner) and her team shared their love of sewing with aspiring and experienced sewists alike.In February 2023, Zoë took over the business from Gaye (who still teaches) and in May 2023 SOSU moved into their current home in Whitehall Street, Footscray.Zoë and her team of friendly and skilled teachers look forward to welcoming you (or your ClassBento gift recipients) into their space to unlock creativity, develop sustainable habits, and master skills that will last a lifetime!
