Q: Can parents stay?
Yes! We always encourage parents to stay, watch, and even pick up a pencil themselves.
Q: Do we need to bring anything?
Once you receive a folder and sketchbook, please bring it with you. If you forget, don't worry! We provide all the materials just in case (or in case parents want to join in also, or the kids bring a friend.)
Q: Do you offer trial lessons?
Yes. The trial lessons are $45 per week. To enrol in a full term, we discount the weekly amount and will deduct the $45 from your total.
Q: Can I book 1 on 1 lessons?
Yes. Eloise, the artist who teaches the kids classes, teaches private lessons for up to 3 attendees per lesson.
Q: What ages is this class suitable for?
A: 7 to 14 years. Adult accompaniment is not required.
Q: What's the cancellation policy?
A: Free to cancel or reschedule up until 1 day before the class

Learn Fundamental Art Skills in the Group
As a group, the term begins with learning basic, important art foundations like observation, value (dark and light), shape, line, texture, and composition.
As we go through the fundamentals, kids begin improving their practice and building confidence as a group. Kids will be introduced to their own talent as well as the talent in the group.
Gallery Excursions, Arts Venue Experiences, and Cultural Involvement
In Melbourne, we have an industry standard, world class arts culture. At Paint With me, we bring kids and families out of the studio and experiencing Melbourne's arts scene with excursions, special opportunities with the Victorian Trust, and local North Melbourne art events.
We bring our sketchbooks and explore a variety of collections, exhibitions, and installations of impressive art history locations. We draw and sketch studies, and begin building an artistic identity in our own city.
End of Term Events
For one night at the end of every term, we open the studio for the kids to exhibit their work throughout the term. This is a private event for parents to come and support their kid's creative output in the art world. This is to show all of the kids that their creativity is a worthwhile discipline to develop, and gives them each an idea of what being a professional artist means. We want each of the students to feel recognised for their achievements, and strongly encourage their confidence as an artist.
