What you'll do

Get creative and inspired in this life drawing class in Melbourne. Life drawing at Blender Studios is a hands-on practical workshop with a chill vibe. Studying from a life model is a great way to help develop and strengthen drawing skills and techniques. Each Thursday, we will start with a few rounds of quick poses to get a little loose then ease into creating amazing art inspired by our weekly models.

During the workshop, there will be a resident artist to guide you along if you would like to try some interesting styles of drawing. Our aim is to get creative, have fun, relax, and experiment with gestural mark-making using different materials.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who has never done life drawing before but wants to learn and also intermediate to experienced life drawers.

Your class comes with some materials including paper, charcoal, graphite pencils, erasers, drawing boards, and easels, but please feel free to bring your own equipment if you would like to play with different mediums.

Make sure you wear appropriate clothing for a practical drawing class! You will mostly work with charcoal which can get quite messy.

If you want to learn a new hobby, life drawing will allow you to unwind and see the world from a new perspective. You will also meet fellow creatives in a friendly and artistic community!

Classes and workshops will be held in the famous Blender studios where you will have the opportunity to meet some of the artist in residence and catch a glimpse of some of the artwork in their personal studio spaces.
