Lygon Street Pottery was founded in 2023 by experienced potters Gordon Hickmott (making since 1975) and Brigid Sundborn (making since 2012), bringing together decades of ceramic knowledge and a shared passion for creating with clay.Today, our light-filled Brunswick East studio is a welcoming creative space for everyone—from complete beginners to experienced makers. We offer one-off pottery workshops, six-week wheel throwing and hand-building courses, children's holiday programs, memberships with 24/7 access, private classes/workshops/parties for small groups to groups of 20 or more, and a professional firing service.At the heart of Lygon Street Pottery is a community of passionate makers and teachers who love sharing their skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. Whether you're playing with clay for the first time or continuing your ceramics journey, we look forward to welcoming you into the studio.
