What you'll do

Weave your group or team together for your next event and discover the art of macrame and clay hand building in this dynamic and engaging double workshop half-day retreat.

In this half day retreat (four hours) you will learn the basic techniques of macrame and clay hand building, and create a stunning macrame plant hanger and handcrafted clay pot to take home.

The first workshop (2-2.5 hours) will consist of a step-by-step macrame lesson to make the plant hanger. You will master the art of square knot, bead mounting and wrapping knot to create a stunning hanger for your favorite plant.

After a short break, we will move into the pottery lesson and learn hand building techniques to make your own ceramic pot.

Don't worry if you've never tried macrame or hand building before! This workshop is designed for beginners and no prior experience is required. Our knowledgeable and friendly instructors, Sarah will guide you through each step, ensuring you feel confident along the way.

By the end of the retreat, you'll not only have two one-of-a-kind pieces to showcase in your home, but you'll also have gained new skills, friendships, and a sense of accomplishment. Join us for this transformative experience and unleash your creativity through the art of macrame and clay.

Grazing boards available as an add on from local cater.

Pots will be available for collection one month after workshop date from studio (cost includes glaze and firing).
We operate from our studio in Currumbin Valley. A surcharge to cover studio hire of $100 applies to private bookings.

We are also a mobile service and travel to your event/venue (a extra fee of $100 to cover travel costs and workshop setup/pack down apply).

This workshop is suitable for beginners and children aged 7+.

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, birthday or hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 7 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

This experience would also be a cool gift for her, gift for mum or gift for couples.
