What you'll do
Spend a few hours with Joy in her home studio in Belair, SA and make your own fused glass mandala bowl from scratch.
As a spiritual symbol in Asian art, mandalas have since become a popular meditative element for a variety of different cultures. In Hindu and Buddhist cultures, in particular, they serve as a representation of the universe and a guide on the path to enlightenment.
Some of the benefits people experience creating mandalas are:
- Activates creativity and improves focus
- Enhances self-esteem and self-acceptance
- Fosters a sense of connectedness with oneself and others
- Relaxes the body and mind
- Cultivates the feeling of happiness, inner peace, and general well-being

Usually, people create mandalas on paper, dreamcatchers and healing circles but today, we will be creating a mandala design on glass!
During this workshop, you will be using our pre-cut handmade glass shapes, beads and noodles to create and decorate your own totally unique mandala. Joy will be there to guide you all the way to your beautiful finished piece to take home after 1-2 weeks.
