Q: Can I make a necklace AND a bracelet?
Absolutely! You can make an extra necklace for $55 or an extra bracelet for $45. This includes the chain + 10 charms.
Q: What if I want to use more than 10 charms?
No stress. Extra charms are just $8 each. Go your hardest.
Q: What's the cancellation policy?
A: No cancellations, but free to reschedule up until 2 days before the class

What you'll do
Pick Your Charms
We have hundreds and hundreds of charms to choose from, including gold charms, silver charms, stone and pearl charms.
Choose Between a Necklace or a Bracelet
Collect a chain from your host. For necklaces, we have 45cm and 50cm chains in gold or silver. We will size and cut bracelets to fit your wrist (as pictured).
Design Your Necklace or Bracelet
Decide on the order of your charms. You might want to choose a central charm and then work your way out. You can also spice things up by putting two charms together on the same link or putting one charm at the back where you do your necklace up.
Attach Your Charms
Time for the technical stuff! We promise it's minimal. You'll use pliers to open up jump rings and attach each charm to your chain. We have a whole bunch of tips and tricks to make spacing the charms out as easy as possible.
Show Off Your Piece
Voila! It's time to put your necklace/bracelet on and prepare for compliments.

The space is located a short walk (140m) from the 86 tram line. There is ample free 1h parking on Johnston St, with no limit after 12:30pm on Saturday and all day Sunday. There are many 2 hour free spots on Gore St opposite Aldi or surrounding side streets. Paid parking is available at Aldi.
Your teacher
Fencesitter was founded (by accident) in 2018, when Heather McNab decided to try her hand at replicating the Picasso-style face earrings she was seeing at every chain store in Adelaide. Armed with pliers and Bunnings fencing wire, she developed her own craft and style and started selling bespoke wire earrings at local markets. This hobby grew and, post-covid, graduated to teaching. Heather has taught thousands of budding jewellery makers over the years, making finished products ranging from technical wire pieces to charm necklaces and bracelets. Our workshops vary in difficulty, but even our most challenging workshops are aimed at beginners. A reformed perfectionist (in progress), Heather understands how intimidating trying a new skill can be and is well-versed in helping students get over mental hurdles.Fencesitter has crafted custom pieces for State Opera of South Australia and Monarto Zoo, and was lucky enough to feature in the Shameless Gift Guide in 2020.
