I've been interested in leather crafting for almost 15 years now. During a tough period when I was struggling with depression, I found myself spending a lot of time at home. Wanting to overcome this difficult time, I started thinking about what I enjoyed and wanted to do. I remembered how much I loved studying Textiles in University, and I realized that I really enjoy creating things with my hands.I started making small cushion covers and reupholstering furniture, and eventually, I decided to try making something out of leather. I bought small pieces of leather and started making simple items. I learned a lot from YouTube and through my own experimentation, and I quickly became passionate about leather crafting. It helped me to completely overcome my depression.As I was able to design my own patterns and create the leather items I envisioned, I felt so happy and fulfilled. I wanted to share this joy and happiness with others, which led me to start teaching leather crafting classes.If you enjoy working with your hands, I believe you’ll love leather crafting too. I’d love to share this amazing craft with you.
