She also worked with the makeup we already had and how to use it best. Having learnt a lot of the basics in this workshop, I'd love to do a 'next steps' course with her to learn even more techniques.

I had Justine as the main facilitator and Akansha which also helped facilitate the start of the class. We learned everything from skin care, to how to choose the right foundation colour and applying make up. The only disappointing part for me was the evening look part of the class felt rushed. I really wanted to learn more about contouring and eye shadow application but we were running out of time. I would say time management lacked yesterday. Other than that I had a great time with the group and the banter was great. I do recommend booking this course if you are interested.

Loved that we have a practical component to it as she spoke to us and walked us through it. It was great to see her do the make up on her own face first, and then letting us try it on our own faces. Also loved how we did both day time and night time make up. The actual gift card claiming was easy. It was just the available dates that I found to be difficult, but that's just normal life availability, nothing to do with ClassBento or Dash Finishing School. Would highly recommend this class!

Shazra was warm, informative, supportive and encouraging....exactly what I needed to feel confident in giving this a go. I left feeling like I'd learnt so much, none of it daunting which means I can easily replicated at home. The tips on skin care were the best for me, and her guidance on brands was very useful. Would 100% recommend this workshop based on Shazra alone, and it was well worth t for the laughs!!!

Learnt heaps of the foundational things using things we already owned, and advice and recommendations about products that are useful to have (of all different price ranges). The teacher was nice and tailored the class to suit each individual person :)
• 3/5 from Beth Kirkwood, attended Apr 2024: Shazra was lovely and I picked up some useful tips and tricks from this class. However, it was quite different to what I expected. We were told to bring our own makeup, but I didn’t expect that this would really be the only makeup we would have available to use in the course. Some very basic makeup was available if you didn’t have any (Eg one eyeshadow pallet) but in very limited colours/shades. There was very little discussion about face shape or skin tone, which I had thought would be covered. While some techniques were covered in detail, others were not covered (eg we learnt to use a brush to apply lip liner but not how to apply it, and we learnt 2 eyeshadow techniques but the third was drawn on paper only and not demonstrated on an eye). Overall, suitable course for beginners seeking foundational knowledge, but anyone with prior makeup experience or knowledge may find this course too basic.

Justine the teacher had a lovely manner and it was clear that she has a passion for makeup making the flow of the workshop easy to understand, being attentive to the individual skill level of each student thus facilitating us to apply makeup confidently and creatively. We learned some great everyday techniques as well as "glam" eyeshadow techniques, so was a good balance. Finally, the set up was great with brushes supplied and a few snacks to have throughout the class. Thanks Shazra!

A safe space to explore make up and a beautiful shared experience of empowerment and confidence boosting from all attendees. Shazra, the tutor was very attentive and answered our many questions with patience and easy to understand instructions. Venue was great with plenty of free weekend street parking. Tea, coffee and water available and biscuits. You might want to take some fruit or something to nibble on. I feel confident to try out what l learned at home.

The makeup brushes provided were excellent. The printed materials were good, too. We learnt about contouring with powder, Day/Night makeup, tips & techniques, and resources. Great to see the transformations of the other participants and get some confidence about trying new styles of makeup!

She correctly matched the colour of foundation for our complexions and had a lot of recommendations on which products work. We learnt how to do smoky eyes and glamour eyes which was not suitable for smaller eyes we learnt. I had a good time.
