Masterclass Workshop - Painting Reflections & Refractions

Join professional painter Lynden Stone to learn how to paint reflections and refractions in glass and metal.



2 x 3.5 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests    

  $125 - $225 ($125 for Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident Adult; $225 for Full Fee Adult) (Afterpay available)

This workshop will be 3.5 hours per day over two days - Tuesday 24th of June & Tuesday 1st of July.
What you will learn:
  • Step by step painting processes following Lynden as she demonstrates stages of the painting
  • Focusing on laying down the base dark and mid tones first
  • Layering lights over the top
  • Reflections are not just white – judging colours of reflections
  • Noticing how objects refract when viewed through glass
Participants are to bring their own materials for these workshops.
This masterclass will be using tables - not easels.
Please note that as this is a Learn Local government-subsidised short course, an enrolment form will be required from eligible participants before they commence. This will be sent to participants via email.

Knowledge required
Ideally, you will need some painting experience to benefit from this class.
What to bring
You will need to bring:
  • your own acrylic paints (warm and cools of each of the three primaries plus white – no blacks)
  • brushes (a variety of sizes) and mixing knives
  • rags and apron
  • surfaces (acrylic painting paper, painting panels or canvas – all minimum A3 size).
Session repeats

This class series runs over 2 consecutive sessions, which are 1 week apart.

Located inside the Rowville Community Centre, nearby Stud Park Shopping Centre and public transport. Ample free parking available on site.
