You and Your Camera. No More Weird First Dates.

You and Your Camera. No More Weird First Dates

No more of that awkward fumbling where you don’t know what button does what. We’ll dive straight in and begin connecting you two, physically and mentally. So things finally "click" for you. In fact, we'll do this within the first 20 minutes and awkward silences wont be a thing anymore.

Couples Therapy for You and Your Camera

Couples Therapy for You and Your Camera

With just two students per class, there's plenty of personal attention for you and your camera, you know... so you can work through the rough patches together. The blurry shots, the awkward angles, the “why won’t you listen to me?” moments. Every photo you take is a chance to patch things up, laugh at the mistakes, and finally start speaking the same language.

The Fun Date Phase

The Fun Date Phase

Now that you and your camera are on speaking terms, it’s time to take things out on the town. Melbourne’s laneways become your playground. Every stop is a chance to try something new together. You’ll start noticing each other's little quirks, the good kind, and the photos are your love letters.

You and Your Camera, Settling Down Together

You and Your Camera, Settling Down Together

By the time we reach the Yarra the awkward stuff is behind you and manual mode feels like second nature. Casual flings with Auto mode have come to an end. Now it's time to begin a real partnership.

The reason why this photography course has such a large number of great reviews is because my students have massive breakthrough results in their photography skills in under 3 hours. I see it at every single class, students blow their own minds with what they’re capable of learning, how easy it was, and how beautiful their photographic results are.
Dont take my word for it! This course has been running since 2011 and has over 400 reviews. Check out what our students are saying for yourself, I've copy and pasted a couple below, not fake, not AI, real humans!
Jennifer — 5 September 2025
“I highly recommend this learning experience. I was getting back into photography after years away and drowning in YouTube content that only confused me, so I booked in with Daniel. In just three hours I learnt more than I had in many hours of online tutorials. Daniel has the gift of making technical information simple and clear. He adapts to your level and pace, and explains everything so it sticks. If you’re new to photography and wondering where to start, this is the best way — plus exploring the city made it a lot of fun.”
Danielle — 15 August 2025
“I had already taken three photography classes before this one, but this is the course that finally made everything click. Learning how aperture, shutter speed and ISO work together to create the shot I wanted was a breakthrough. Other classes gave me bits and pieces, but this one tied it all together. It’s the only course you need to properly understand your camera. Thanks Daniel.”
Richard — 20 December 2024
“The DSLR and Mirrorless Express Course was the best morning I have spent. I discovered I had been doing everything wrong since the beginning and always left my camera on auto. After this easy to learn course I pledged to never use auto again. Daniel made the mystery of manual mode simple and clear. I should have done this course when I bought my first DSLR and you should too..”

  • 5/5 from Michelle Cooper, attended Jan 2023: Daniel is a wonderful teacher, providing opportunities to experiment and learn from your own experience whilst supporting you with the knowledge required to get understand what you’re doing! The locations around the city help you explore light in a variety of ways and Daniel’s insights helped me think about the role of the photographer in interpreting what I see and what I want to communicate to the viewer. Loved it, just wish I’d done it sooner and I look forward to applying my learnings into practice.
