Loved Melody’s watercolour workshop. Bright enthusiastic energy and love for art.
The venue was like a holiday away from home atmosphere.
Workshop so well planned to every detail with your own Travel watercolour journey book.
We were shown step by step how to mix colours and what brush to use and different techniques with water or dry on paper.
Yummy delicious afternoon tea with refreshing varied teas and coffee.
Workshop was value for money.
I loved every minute at Melody’s workshop.

I had such an enjoyable afternoon. Melody is a delightful and very talented young woman. The venue, art supplies, and instruction were all of a high standard. Melody provided great instruction and feedback, the company and afternoon tea was great, and we all left happy with the art we had created. Thank you Mel, I will definitely participate in any further classes you facilitate.

Such a beautiful space to explore watercolours and travel journaling. Melody walked us through the steps of capturing a travel memory, in a friendly and very relaxed atmosphere. She explained watercolour techniques clearly before we experimented in the beautiful journal we received as part of the class. Lovely materials, great value for money and a yummy afternoon tea. I highly recommend Melody's workshop. I can't wait to hit the road and fill my travel journal with memories. Thank you, Melody.

Melody was a super friendly, fun and informative teacher. I'd love to do more of her courses. The studio she works from is light and airy, and a fantastic environment for sharing an afternoon.

Melody is a great teach, it was such a nice way to spend an afternoon. I look forward to practicing what I learned on my travels!

Melody was so great, she explained everything so well for us total beginners and didn’t go through things too fast. Afternoon tea that was provided was a wonderful surprise and everyone was so happy with their finished work. Absolutely recommend this workshop to anyone at any level, you don’t need to be good at drawing to do this if you’re concerned.

Great class for beginners with a fantastic teacher. Melody showed us how to apply paint to dry and wet paper, colour wash, mix colours, and then helped us bring it altogether to create a painting in our watercolour travel journal. Hard to believe that within 4 short hours you could learn so much plus produce a passable first-effort painting! The studio is light and airy, afternoon tea was delicious and Melody is a great host who knows how to impart her knowledge. Highly recommended.

Melody was a very calm and patient teacher, her examples were easy to follow and I have come away with a greater knowledge and confidence in painting with watercolours

Mel was so wonderful, and I loved every part of this class! She made me believe that I (have pretty minimal natural creative talent) could do watercolour painting, and I did! I was shocked at what I achieved but Mel broke down the process so easily and made it fun and simple to follow.

I would 100% recommend this class! But be cautious that you will catch the watercolour travel bug and won’t want to stop doing it!

Thanks Mel! Can’t wait to do more classes like this one with you!

Brilliant class! Mel is so kind and patient, and fun! She walked us through different watercolour techniques and then showed us how to use them in our landscape artwork. She was excellent at catering for the various levels of skill within the class. Will definitely be coming again

Had an amazing time doing lino printing today! Melody is a great teacher and the class had a very relaxed feel. She's also a seriously great person, I accidentally left my stamp behind and she rang me as soon as she noticed so I could come back and get it!

I would definitely recommend this class to anyone of any skill level, I've never done anything like this since high school forever ago and had such a great time and made something I'm super happy with!

I really enjoyed the watercolour travel journaling workshop! All the materials were supplied which was great, and the art studio was a beautiful space to work in. We had a lovely group of women and our art teacher Melody was full of joy and enthusiasm for what she was teaching, and very supportive and encouraging. Loved working with watercolours, learning technique and painting our own picture at the end. Loved it.

I attended the workshop by Melody Suranyi on the Watercolour Travel Journalling Workshop. Right from the start (email with welcome and directions) were very clear and well organised. The venue was very conducive to learning and crafting/painting. The workshop was well structured, well paced and I felt a great sense of achievement with my finished piece. I have not painted for over 40 years since school days! Melody taught the fundamentals of water-colouring, techniques, what colours and brushes to use, before we started on our selected pieces from our travel photos. It was amazing how a few basics helped me achieve my finished result. The workshop suits beginners all the way to more advanced painters as we all work at our own pace in a structured but not controlling environment. She knows her stuff! Highly recommended.

I loved everything about this workshop! The space was absolutely beautiful and Melody was an excellent teacher. I had so much fun and picked up a whole new skill set as an absolute beginner. I’m so happy with my stamps and would book again in a heartbeat

My husband and I have recently completed a lovely watercolour workshop. We were greeted by Melody, our friendly host and teacher. She welcomed us into her bright and inviting art and craft space with hot drinks. We spent some time chatting with the other students before embarking on our art adventure. The well thought out activities progressed from brush control through techniques for colour mixing and culminated with a complete painting.
Following this workshop we have the confidence and skills to fill the complimentary art journal with paintings of our neighbourhood and travels.

Melody was a delight! She is kind, supportive, helpful and approachable. She engaged all the students during the class and promoted an inclusive space. Her teaching style enabled us to inflict our own creative flare and she gave various suggestions on how to personalise our artwork. There were many techniques to try and she easily catered for beginners! I would highly recommend taking a class with Melody even if your not much of a painter (like me!) as you will feel like you have not really sat there long at all (even though you have been painting for 4 hours!).
