Are you looking for hands-on, mindful Brisbane activities? Learn silversmithing basic techniques at this casual metal texturing workshop in West End and return home with something beautiful, made entirely by you!

This workshop will provide everything needed to make a piece of metal jewellery to take home on the night.

You can choose between:
1 pair of earrings
A pendant
A Wall hanging
A brooch

Each participant also can turn their practice piece into a keyring to take home on the day.

You'll be shown step-by-step the process of creating a completed pair of earrings. The same process can be adapted to make another piece.

*Everything is provided for the workshop, including:

  • Copper, brass and aluminium sheet metal, pre-cut.
  • Ethically sourced Sterling Silver for the wire.
  • Examples of what you can make.

A small selection of up-cycled beads will be provided to enhance your metal jewellery, feel free to bring along any special beads that you might want to incorporate into your handmade metal piece.

As you learn how to make jewellery, enjoy a tea or coffee, snacks and conversation with your fellow students. This silversmithing workshop is great for romantic date ideas or small and intimate get-togethers with friends. Everyone will be amazed at what they can create in just a few short hours!

We keep our workshop numbers small to ensure one one-on-one assistance and to maintain the relaxed vibe with the intention of a mindful workshop.

VENUE
This workshop is held in the centre of West End, just walking distance from the hustle and bustle of Boundary Street but in a quiet backstreet, so we hear the birds chirping as we work.

The workshops are held in a trendy West End artsy Queenslander house (converted into a commercial property) with on-street parking. We are kept cool by a beautiful cross breeze.

Please Note: There is no advertising on the front of the house; it looks like a house but is a commercial property.

This venue has wheelchair access; please advise if you require wheelchair access as it is a lift.

NOTES:
1. Does a date work for you but not the time?
2. Is there a date that you would like a public workshop?

Please contact me as I might be able to change the start time or open up a workshop on that date.
