Italians are masters of understated culinary art. With this Italian cooking class in Brisbane, now is your chance to learn the techniques behind creating simple yet delicious dishes that will wow your friends and family.

Friday LUNCH Class! We have a daytime session available for small groups and businesses with only a few staff. Book into our Italian Class on Friday 15th December, from 11am - 2pm. Limited spots!

Your cooking class begins with a heart-warming welcome where you make hand stretched olive and rosemary Focaccia over an introduction and chat with your fellow budding chefs. 

Mid-week Special - Wednesday Night Classes save $10 per person. Automatic discount when you book!

You will work in small groups as our Chef guides you step by step. In this class, you will learn the tricks and tips on how to make bread, pasta and delicious sauces. On top of that, you will also have the opportunity to learn an Italian sweet dish - the fabulously light and refreshing panna cotta, a versatile, delicious Italian dessert.

This is fun, informative and will teach you how to produce stunning authentic Italian dishes that are steeped in tradition and flavour!

During the cooking class you will:

  • Lose the fear of attempting how to make pasta from scratch ever again
  • Follow the step by step, fail-safe recipes that will produce amazing pasta and bread every time 
  • Learn the secret authentic Italian ingredients that really make an Italian dish and how to use them with ease
  • Repeat every recipe at home whenever you want and create food that is better than your local Italian restaurant!
  • Novice level and up - anyone can learn this!

Come alone, bring a friend or partner, or bring the whole family!  Children from 12yrs with a passion for cooking are welcome!

The Rustic Italian Menu:
  • Signature black salf and rosemary focaccia  with served with truffle olive oil and fig balsamic
  • Hand made pasta ravioli with sweet potato filling and traditional sugo
  • Panna Cotta loaded with Chef Mel's culinary bling

We can cater for vegetarian and dairy-free attendees; just let us know when you book in! We can't offer this class Gluten Free.

Please note:
  • The menu is based on available seasonal produce and is subject to change at the experience provider's discretion. This menu cannot be offered gluten-free. 
  • Pasta will always be included. You will work and cook together as a team, and shared workspace and the kitchen equipment with other participants. A group cooking session with partial group participation is the most effective and fun way to add to your cooking skills.
  • To ensure the class finishes on time some elements of the dishes are demonstrated.
  • The class is held in a fully licensed venue so you are unable to BYO.

Very disappointed with my experience. I purchased this as a gift for my mother. We paid for 3 hours of cooking. The class finished 40 minutes early. Constantly being rushed. The drinks were ridiculously overpriced. They also failed to mention you don’t get to cook everything. The sauces and ravioli fillings were all pre made for us and you don’t get the opportunity to cook all the meals. One half of group learns the dessert and the other learns the entrees. Not as advertised and not worth the money.

Oh no Siobvan, this doesn’t sound like our usual 5-star experience at all. I will discuss with our chefs about the class finishing so early. We do allow time to eat all your creations towards the end of the 3hr Session, but this does look like it was even earlier.

In relation to not cooking every element and our team pre-making some items, this is stated in the class description. It’s really important as a customer to read all the details to see if this is the right class for you.

I did the Rustic Italian Cooking class part 1 and really enjoyed it. I loved the environment; it was all setup like a commercial kitchen. The staff were friendly and Chef Elle was warm, welcoming and a very good teacher. She offered support and encouragement to everyone involved. I liked the team environment. My daughter and I enjoyed the Rustic Italian class as it was a great introduction to cooking some classic Italian food. Our chef was entertaining and knowledgeable, and the class size small. Chef Luci was amazing. Not only is she kind and funny but she is warm and inviting to learn all you can. It is a well paced class with a lot going on but all designed for you to have fun and learn to make amazing food.

The experience was better than I had thought up in my head. So many classes to choose from and ones I will be exploring in the very near future.

If you are new to cooking or not quite sure, this is the kind of class for you. The basics I learned will never be forgotten.

Great concept. I would definitely go again as the food was delicious, the teacher was wonderful and I love that u can have a glass of wine or a cocktail while u cook. The venue was great and set out well. Just one negative however, being u share the cooking/food with the table not just who u r with which I found odd especially in the world of covid. Despite this, I thought it was great and I will be back cooking again for sure.

Excellent experience! Our chef Andrea was clear, demonstrated techniques well and gave us many professional tips throughout. We were a table of four, everyone had ample opportunity to get hands on and participate.
Just the right amount of pre prep and support provided meant we were readily able to keep up. Recipes worked well, all three of our courses were finished in time for us to sit and enjoy the delicious lunch with a glass of Rosé. The venue was well organised, plenty of space. There were 15 of us in our room on the day plus another class in the next room but it never got too noisy, ample support staff on hand to ensure everyone had a good experience. We will definitely do another class.

Excellent class, great teacher. It was a little hard to keep up with what was being said when busy getting the prep done. Might be an idea to use a microphone or have some pointers up on a screen for attendees to refer to.

Probably like most other people, I came here for a cooking class gift and not to improve my culinary skills - I was happily surprised! Chef Elle looked after us for the night and she clearly has a pedagogical gift. A lot of things were pre-prepared including the dicing and the sauce but we still had our work cut out for us because our recipes required focus, skill and taking the occasional risk. Fortunately, anything that went wrong was easily fixed by chef Elle and she gave us all great information along the way. The strangers that ended up on my bench were both really nice and we had lots of fun together. At the end we had made more food than we could eat so we packed it up into leftover plastic containers for further enjoyment. All the recipes for emailed to us at the end of the night (we had them on laminated pages during the cooking). I'd recommend this coming school to anyone of any coming ability - there are a huge range of different styles which would suit anyone's taste and interests.

We really enjoyed our night and certainly would now feel comfortable in trying out the recipes we cooked at home. There was a lot crammed into the three hour class so it was definitely an great experience. Our chef was friendly and helpful and had a broad wealth of knowledge. The facilities could have been better. There was another class in another part of the facilities and a large expel air nearby - this caused a bit of noise and there were times I struggled to hear our chef. A suggestion to help the smooth running of the class would be to have more of the ingredients required throughout the evening on the work benches - this would lessen the congestion of people in the small corner where items such as cream, milk and eggs were stored.
A good night and I would recommend it to others.

Chef Ella was bright and full of hints.
It did seem a little disorganized as the goals were not clearly stated and the location of the cooking implements was random. A run through of where to find things would have been good.
Maybe a longer period of time would allow a more organized experience.

Our class was small, only 8 people but our teacher had time to move around to all of the groups to answer our questions and help us all out. Accomodations were made for those with dietary restrictions but the end result was delicious, simple food. Can’t believe I haven’t done this earlier.

Following a slow start (it took a little while for us to understand the format and get used to the teacher's style), the class evolved into a fun and educational experience. I very much liked that Ada brought in some of her own experiences and ideas into the class (coloured pasta - awesome!)

WOW! What a fantastic afternoon. Great venue and lots of fun.
We made Focaccia, Panna Cotta and Ravioli. All dishes were amazing. We
were also given many other recipes to try. Ada showed us how to plate up our dishes as well. I highly recommend this class.
Ada was amazing. So many hints and tips along the way and very encouraging.
