Enjoy a mindful and relaxing card-making experience where you’ll create three beautiful handmade cards featuring delicate origami designs: a crane, tulips, and a folded fan, crafted from stunning Japanese paper. This two-hour workshop offers a creative pause from the demands of everyday life, with moments of mindful awareness woven throughout to help you slow down, reset, and fully enjoy the creative process.
Choose a Sunday to unwind in a cosy, thoughtfully designed studio that nurtures calm and creativity. With a maximum of eight participants, the workshop offers a personalised and supportive experience that fosters both creativity and connection.
Or, arrange a time on any day of the week and enjoy crafting outdoors in beautiful locations such as Mt Coot-tha, the Botanical Gardens, or Karawatha Forest. Your materials are provided in a ready-made kit, making outdoor crafting simple and relaxing. Outdoor workshops welcome groups of up to eight participants. Depending on park seating availability, participants may craft together on a large picnic rug and are welcome to bring a cushion for additional comfort.
You’ll be guided through each card design step-by-step, with clear instructions so you can continue creating at home with confidence.

I’ve loved art and craft for as long as I can remember. Growing up without a television, my siblings and I spent our days creating our own fun, experimenting with colours, textures, and imagination. That early love of making has stayed with me throughout my life.
I am a registered teacher and school counsellor with many years of experience facilitating art-for-wellbeing programs and group sessions for children and young people in schools, as well as adult wellbeing retreat days. These experiences give participants the chance to re-energise through mindfulness, and creative activities, with opportunities to pause, connect with others, and simply slow down.
In my work, I use art and craft as a tool for mindfulness, creativity, and self-expression. I’ve seen firsthand how working with your hands can calm the mind, spark joy, and build confidence.
I delight in sharing that joy with others. In my classes, you can expect a supportive, relaxed, and inspiring environment where you can explore your creativity, learn new skills, and leave with something beautiful you’ve made yourself.
