What made the workshop truly special was being able to share it with my sister Anchal and my friend Pallavi. Going to Space2b always feels like coming home, but this time there was a beautiful sense of newness as well. The atmosphere was warm, grounding, and incredibly inspiring. Hinako guided us with so much patience and creativity, and I still can’t believe we made such stunning candles ourselves! It was one of those rare experiences where you feel both relaxed and creatively energized. A heartfelt thank-you to Hinako for the incredible workshop and to Space2b for consistently creating such safe, welcoming spaces for creativity and connection. I left with a full heart — and beautiful candles to show for it.

Hinako is the founder of Petaly Candle, a brand that creates botanical candles designed to be both beautiful and heartfelt gifts, which she sells at Space2b. She began her candle-making journey in Japan, where she ran weekend workshops and markets for two years. In 2023, she returned to Melbourne with her son, bringing her craft and passion with her. As a single mother juggling different jobs, she finds joy and purpose in creating candles that celebrate both nature and life’s special moments.
