Meet the materials

Meet the Materials

We'll start with a few quick tips on printmaking considerations such as ink consistency and roller pressure to get you started.

Find Your Rhythm

Find Your Rhythm

Let's try inking the stamps and pressing onto an array of papers to experiment with technique and materials, and how they respond.

Layer & Play

Layer & Play

We'll bring in leaves and professional printmaking paper in autumn tones to create monoprints and explore layering imagery, and to bring our attention to the changing of the seasons.

Make it Yours

Make It Yours

Once the prints are dry, we'll use a range of mark-making materials to add patterns and colour to our artworks, creating something uniquely yours. You can easily transform your art into gift cards or tags. Any of your leftover prints can be used in your own journal or collage practice at a later time.

Join us for a relaxed art session layering leaf monoprints, hand-carved nature stamps, and adding your own marks and patterns with a range of drawing materials. If time allows, we'll learn how to make twine from natural materials, a meditative process that is also perfect for tying gifts and tags.
Sessions are gently facilitated, with time for chats, creative exploration, and snacks. Whether you're drawn to the bold shapes of leaf prints or the clean lines of stamps, there's room for everyone. As autumn draws to a close, let's slow down and capture the beauty of the season in ink and paper.
All materials are supplied:
  • Fresh leaves
  • Hand-carved nature-inspired stamps
  • Block Ink and rollers
  • A range of professional printmaking paper in autumn tones

Toilets & Facilities: Please note: The venue does not have an accessible toilet by Australian standards. - The toilets are large and gender-neutral but lack grab rails. - The hallway leading to the toilets is narrow (may not accommodate larger wheelchairs). - The door swings inwards, in front of the basin. If you have specific mobility needs, please message me before booking so we can discuss if the space works for you. The Space: A calm environment with chill music, no bright lights, and access anytime to the veranda and outside area. Inclusion: Free pronoun badges and resources are available to support an inclusive environment.
Can children attend the workshop?
This workshop is designed for ages 16 and over. Due to the nature of the materials (ink, rollers) and the self-directed pace of the session, it may not be suitable for younger children. Teens aged 13–15 are welcome to attend if accompanied by a paying adult. If you have a younger child who you feel is exceptionally mature, self-led, and unlikely to be a disrupt the group process, please message before booking.
