What you'll do
Nerikomi is a contemporary Japanese term that refers to ancient clay marbling techniques, where clay is layered and manipulated to form beautiful and decorative patterns. A practice that can be traced back throughout many continents in history.Guiding you through the Nerikomi method, you’ll dive into this ancient practice and learn the art of blending two-toned clay together to create your own unique patterns. Then, you'll use these patterns to build your own ceramic vessel, plate or bowl, completing 1-2 finished pieces. These will then be glazed in clear and completed at our studio to accentuate the natural beauty of the clay.
