Art has always been a true passion of mine. I am constantly inspired by the beauty of God’s creation—how could one not celebrate the colours, patterns, designs, vistas, and the breathtaking shades found in foliage, flowers, trees, and gardens? Watercolour painting has long been my greatest artistic love, shaping my focus on still life and landscape subjects.
Over the years, I have created and sold numerous watercolours through art shows and private commissions. My love of teaching has deepened my appreciation for the importance of learning strong foundational techniques and building upon them to achieve creative success. I have taught art to students for several years and am now expanding my classes to include both children and adults who wish to explore the fundamentals of watercolour painting.
In addition, I plan to introduce an exciting new element—transforming students’ finished pieces into fabric designs. This fusion of painting and textiles adds a unique, creative dimension to the lessons. Beautiful fabrics have always been another great passion of mine.
For over 30 years, I have been immersed in the art world—teaching, learning, and developing my skills across various mediums including textiles, acrylics, ceramics, and collage. As an interior decorator, many of my fabric designs, cushions, and ottomans have been featured in Vogue and Country Style magazines. I was also honoured to receive an award from Reece for creating a stylish bathroom design featuring 17 Reece products, and I earned the Best of Houzz award in 2017 for outstanding customer service.
