Hi, I’m Nitasha, a Melbourne-based artist, workshop facilitator, and mental health advocate.
My journey into art wasn’t planned — it came at a time when I needed something to hold onto. I was navigating depression and anxiety, and picking up a paintbrush became a lifeline. What started as a personal outlet quickly turned into a passion for creating safe, expressive spaces for others.
Art gave me a voice when I didn’t have the words. That’s why I’m so passionate about teaching — because I know firsthand how powerful creative expression can be. Whether it’s a child painting next to their mum or two friends laughing over a messy canvas, these moments matter. They’re joyful, grounding, and often healing.
Over the past few years, I’ve hosted dozens of art workshops across Melbourne — from intimate sessions in cafés to community-based events for young people and women rebuilding after trauma. I’ve also volunteered with organisations like ACHRH, combining creativity with wellbeing. My sessions are guided, beginner-friendly, and rooted in connection — you don’t need to be an artist, just willing to show up.
What’s special about my work? It’s raw, real, and people-focused. I don’t teach from a pedestal — I sit with you, paint with you, and hold space for whatever unfolds on the canvas. Most people don’t realise how deeply personal and therapeutic art can be, even in simple forms.
This isn’t just about making something pretty — it’s about creating something that feels like you
