Hello. I'm Min from Korea! Currently working as a sculptural artist in Melbourne.
My practice is about turning discarded paper — newspapers, magazines, old books — into sculptural objects and furniture. I completed my MA in Furniture and Product Design at Kingston University London, and since then my work has shown in Seoul, Milan, and Melbourne.
This is actually my first workshop. I've spent years figuring things out on my own in the studio — what works, what falls apart, how paper actually behaves under different conditions. I wanted to take everything I've learned through that process and share it directly, in a room, with people working alongside me.
In this workshop, you'll mainly work with paper clay and explore its properties with cardboard, hanji, botanical fiber, paper scraps and more to build your own form. OFF COURSE means starting from what you need. Mistakes and detours are part of the process, not something to avoid.
Across the 4-hour session, we'll experiment with materials, explore directions, and work towards your own idea alongside a small group. By the end, we'll share what we've made and take a few photos to remember it by.
Sign up if this feels like something you need.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at the table.
