Everything went very well! We have been nicely welcomed. After been introduced all whisky’s, gin’s and liquor’s we had to pick 8 of them to be prepared. In the meantime we went on a tour with Angus which he covered everything in a very enthusiastic way.
After that we enjoyed our taste still with our guide which guided us on recognising the taste.
At the end everything ended up with a nice platter which we enjoyed outside the building in the court.
Please go and visit this local producer.

Such a gem in a little town. John, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and so much history in the building. The cheese platter/lunch was very generous as well as the whiskey sample. Definitely worth the money and you should not leave without a bottle the Solera Cask Whiskey.

What a fantastic old building to have our whisky tour, tasting and lunch in. Hannah and Hellie made us very welcome with a hot drink on arrival. We enjoyed this in amazingly plush and comfortable leather armchairs in a room full of information about the home and making spirits. We learned a lot more about how Scottish style whisky is produced and the history of Dysart House. At the tastings we could choose a paddle of 4 whiskies to taste from the 8 available and there were also gins and liqueurs for non whiskey lovers. My wife was driving so her tastings board was arranged in lovely little bottles for her to take home to enjoy and she had a tiny sip from my glasses at the time. The whiskey tastes and smells just great. We then really enjoyed a substantial anti-pasto platter in The Lavender Room, one of two rooms of their cafe. It had two large slabs of cheese, a chedder and a brie, cold roast beef, mortadella, smoked salmon, a range of pickled vegies, tomatoes fresh & dried, olives, chilli jam & picked carrot relish &, for a change, more than adequate crackers to accompany. All produce was local Tasmanian and much could be purchased from the property also. Service was attentive without being intrusive and over our leisurely, drawn out lunch we were discussing how happy we were with our whiskey tour experience, which we now thought was very good value. On leaving we could also choose a complimentary bottle from a range of local wines! Although the whiskeys are expensive we did choose to purchase a special bottle and the fragrant, aromatic gin also along with some of the pickes. We had a most enjoyable couple of hours at this marvellous property in the little town of Kempton and wish to thank Hannah and Hellie for the experience. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. We will take our visitors here in future. Oh, and the cafe is open without the tour. It has a limited menu which would cater for most tastes and there are gluten free options. We might pop out just for the drive and a cuppa on a pleasant day.

Fantastic Experience! We learnt lots of fascinating information about the history of the property, and the production method and how the company operates, all in a gorgeous location! Love the small business set up and how they clearly care quite well for their staff. Unfortunately we don't remember the name of the tour guide, but he was fantastic
