Join us for an enriching ceramic painting class in Brisbane! Discover the joy of working with ceramic paint as you decorate your own dinnerware, vases, and mugs.In this workshop, you will learn how to paint with glaze paint and create your own design. This is a self-creative session where you can paint what you want (therefore limited guidance). Don't worry if you're a beginner, our relaxed and supportive environment is perfect for all skill levels. You'll be amazed at how quickly you pick up the techniques and find yourself immersed in the creative process. Get ready to unleash your inner artist! At the end of the workshop, you'll have your own glazed ceramic pieces to take home and proudly display. How this class is different to the pottery painting session we also offer? In this class, we are painting on already gloss glazed ceramic pieces that do not need to go through the kiln again. We are using a special over glaze gloss enamel ceramic paint that is food safe. You can take the items home on the day, and then to set the paint, it needs to go into the oven for half an hour which hardens the gloss paint to a strong no scratch surface. This is non-toxic and can still be dishwasher safe using this superior brand paint. We will give you the run-through on the day. This a fun class to see exactly what you will have at the end of the session, compared to the pottery painting class that uses under glaze, which does change colour and effect after the glaze kiln firing.Note:Bookings prior to 13th September, Ceramic pieces for separate sale on the day priced accordingly to your piece selected based on the surface area of paint required. Bookings after the 13th September the new booking price now includes any piece on day to be included in the cost, with nothing more to pay. We have selection from Vases, Dinner or butter plates, also mugs and trinket bowlsNote you can not bring your own pieces of ceramics, if you do request this, the cost is still the same as above pieces of similar size. As outlined the main cost is the special paint which is charged out on surface area of each piece size.Let us know if you're coming to celebrate a birthday, with the tick box on checkout. 5/5 from Tanya Mackenzie, attended Nov 2025: Perfect explanations, great set up, fun way to spend an afternnon.
3/5 from Yi Huang, attended Nov 2025: we enjoyed the activity and loved it was in air conditioned room, close to shops and public transport. the take home box and bag was thoughtful. the pricing was fair. what could have been improved was the paint brushes - quite hard to paint with precision. the paint also didn't go on the preglazed pieces very well so it should have been mentioned upfront so we would make our designs more broadbrushed.. rather than go small.... colours didn't go very well together. would have liked some paper towels to wipe my hands. if i had known the paints were very hard to get off i would've worn something different.
5/5 from Rhianna Eriksen, attended Oct 2025: We went to the studio to paint dinner plates for our wedding. There was plenty of space for us and we had everything we needed. I appreciated that we were able to stay another 30 minutes or so as we hadn't finished yet. We're very happy with our designs and can't wait to use these for our wedding and anniversaries to come.
5/5 from April McCarthy, attended Oct 2025: My friends and l did the ceramic painting class. The studio was really nice. I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. I believe in bringing these experiences to the customer at the very best competitive price possible, the real Australian Way. We have the largest range of paintings available with over 80 paintings on the gallery page of Wesley Taylor Art Studios, with the painting for each week found on the web page.We hope you enjoy these sessions for a fun experience. The paintings are creative for maximum impact of colors, while keeping in mind first-time painting experiences. Those with a little more practice will create some amazing pieces.Let us plan your special events!“Everyone has an artistic flair and simply needs to be pointed in the right direction."The Wesley Taylor Art Studios Mission initially set out to create workshops at half the cost of other workshops for customers to be able to enjoy the experience of creating a piece of artwork.
