Learn how to make pizza at the Best Pizzeria in Oceania 2021! Spend some quality time reconnecting with your loved ones and your inner foodie as you sink your hands into some soft pizza dough!

Our chefs will take you through the entire process of pizza making from beginning to end. You'll learn all the best tips and tricks including the science of dough making, how to make your pizza light and fluffy and how to avoid that heavy feeling in your tummy!

Enjoy a coffee upon arrival and then get stuck into the dough making process.

After making your dough you can sit back, relax and enjoy a pizza lunch paired with a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage.

You will get to take home your dough for stretching and cooking at home along with a goodie bag with all the ingredients needed to practice your new skills.

This class is perfect if you are looking for fun team building activities in Melbourne, making your team feel rewarded and improving workplace wellbeing.

  • Classes are vegetarian and can easily be made vegan-friendly.
  • Gluten-free requirements can be accommodated but please advise upon booking.

48H Pizza & Gnocchi Bar opened their first restaurant in South Yarra in 2015 and quickly became a local favourite. Owners Fabio Biscaldi and Michele Circhirillo have been serving seasonal and artisanal small plates, handmade gnocchi and pizzas inspired by dishes that they grew up with.

For us, 48 hours is the minimum time required for the dough to rise. A dough that has been leavened for 48H with natural yeast will make your pizza light, fragrant and aromatic… just like in Italy. Natural yeast has been used for generations in Italy. In fact, back in the day, only one person in the village would have natural yeast and they would use it to barter goods with. Bread was made once a week, and in some villages, just once a month, so natural yeast had to be bartered or families would go without their bread…. a sacrilegious thought to any food-respecting Italian!

At 48H, we want to respect and maintain these traditions and introduce you to true Italian flavours, remastered for today’s refined palates.

We had such a great time. We started with a nice coffee, then we had the class and at the end, we had pizza and wine. The class was super fun, everything is well planned, and actually, you learn a lot, for instance, it was the first time I could stretch properly the dough for a pizza. Also, they take you into the kitchen to cook your pizza hehehe, but you don't eat it there, the lunch is a pizza made by them (it was super delicious). It worthed every dollar we paid, the whole group was very happy!

I loved the dough making class. It was very well organised, we were made to feel welcome, the instructions were clear and presented with enthusiasm and humor. We made our pizzas to take home plus we were given a bag of ingredients for our next pizza cook up. Our lunch arrived a large delicious pizza for each of us and a glass of wine.
