Who said vegan pizza was boring? This unique cooking class in Hawthorn will show you how to make authentic jaw-droppingly delicious plant-based pizzas using a simple and homemade dough, with a gluten-free wholegrain dough option too.

This is the ultimate class in tasty vegan pizza making. During the beginner-friendly class, we will create an incredible plant-based gooey, stretchy mozzarella cheese, a vegan parmesan, the only two pizza sauces you’ll ever need, and a few clever ways to make these homemade pizzas next-level for your Friday night pizza party!

What you'll make during the class:

  • Traditional pizza dough (contains gluten)
  • Gluten-free soured wholegrain dough (not suitable for coeliacs as it contains oats)
  • Traditional tomato sugo
  • White pizza sauce
  • Homemade vegan mozzarella (plant-based mozzarella cheese)
  • Parmesan (plant-based parmesan crumble)
  • White wild mushroom and caramelised onion pizza
  • Simple margarita pizza

Learn the fundamentals of good pizza dough, two traditional sauces and how to customise to your palate. Go home with your own vegan cheese recipes so you’ll never be disappointed by store-bought dairy-free cheese again!

This pizza making class is the perfect way to up-level your next pizza party with an all plant-based pizza extravaganza - you won’t even miss the ham and pineapple! The class will finish with a delicious sit-down meal of six dishes.

Please note: This menu is not entirely gluten-free and not coeliac friendly as there will be cross-contamination with wheat-containing flours. There is a gluten-free dough option but it does contain oats, so may not be appropriate depending on sensitivity.

If requesting a private cooking class, please note that class price will be dependant on class duration and number of guests. In private booking request, please specify number of guests and if requesting a 2 or 3 hour class.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 14 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

Steph Schall has had both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and adheres to COVID-19 government guidelines. They won't run this class if they've had flu symptoms in the last 14 days.
