She shared her knowledge freely, guided us with warmth and humour and ensured we all experienced success. I ended up with three items that will now be fired and glazed. I walked out of the workshop euphoric and couldn't wipe the smile off my face for hours. Highly recommend
• 5/5 from Edward Denby, attended Mar 2026: A great class, fun but relaxed atmosphere, our teacher was helpful but not over bearing. You’ll be surprised what you can make the first time on the wheel. My only suggestion is doing the first demo one in tandem together, rather than one long demo at the start. It’d would be better to show a stage then do a stage together and so on, it’s hard to remember bits of it otherwise. Overall great day!

As a beginner I would have found it more helpful to demonstrate one step then complete that step, stop and watch the next step then do it and so on. Watching all the steps demonstrated at the beginning wasn’t a bit overwhelming. However, Sophie was great at coming around and helping us during the process. I’m looking forward to doing another class soon

The best thing was we can take some of our products home after just 1 beginner session.Definetely challenging yet very rewarding. Many of us (including myself) are thinking of continuing more sessions to improve our skills and be able to produce better pieces. Highly recommend to those who are intrigue by pottery or if you want to do something different with your friends and families.
• 5/5 from Elisa Gregori, attended Aug 2024: The pottery class was exceptionally good: the teacher was very accurate in her teaching and she showed step by the step the process of pottery making; she was very open and anwered to every question. We learned how to make different kind of cups and plates with different techniques. The thing that I loved the most was the shaping process and the creative part of it; it inspired me to try it again in the future. The only thing is that I think it was a bit over priced, but we had a fun time and we will bring home 3 pottery pieces ready to use and to admire!

Dani at Firebirds Pottery, the teacher, was excellent and helpful and our pots turned put brilliantly. I've done a few classes now & highly recommend Firebirds and the relaxing & mindful activity.

Came out energised, accomplished, and proud of learning a new skill and making things of beauty that did not exist before my hands made them. I highly recommend @firebird_studios_pottery Dani was patient knowledgeable and such a great teacher! If you are looking for a fun creative outlet, definitely do this! And the dirtier you'll get the more fun you're going to have Linda

Had two great teachers who went through a run through of all the steps to see what we were working towards. We set off to our stations and went through each step for our fist piece. If someone fell behind the a teacher came over and guided us on what to do next. We all made 3 pieces mainly saucers, bowls or cups of some sort, and we were all proud of our pieces, even if some had a little character. Highly recommend, had a great time and already looking into more courses that they offer!
