What you'll do
Learn the art of engraving to beautifully personalise gifts like perfume bottles, wine and spirit bottles, candle jars, glasses, stainless steel bottles - the list is endless! Join calligrapher, Ali, on the Gold Coast to learn all the tips and tricks for successful and safe engraving.
A variety of glass and stainless steel bottles will be provided for practice, but you are encouraged to bring an item you might like as a finished piece.
All supplies necessary to safely learn to engrave will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own engraving machine and tools if you have them but there will also be machines available to use on the day.
Alison can also guide you through purchasing the right machine and tools prior to the workshop if you wish to purchase these prior.
This class does not cover calligraphy or drawing basics, though some simple designs will be on hand to copy or as inspiration.
Knowledge required
This is a beginner's class suitable for anyone who has never tried engraving before, however, this class does not cover the basics of calligraphy or drawing.
