Get involved with resin art and learn how to work with food-safe epoxy resin and pigments to decorate two cheeseboards (one large and one single serve).
An experienced instructor will guide you step by step on:
  • Basics of epoxy resin and resin safety sheets and how to understand safety.
  • How to prepare your cheeseboards with painter's tape.
  • How to mix, colour, and pour epoxy resin onto your cheeseboard.
  • Tips and tricks to create celling and lacing.
Your instructor will do a hands-on demonstration of how to create an ocean/beach theme board using the direct pour technique during the class, so you can follow step by step. Your instructor will also show you a marbling technique.
The resin we use is Art Resin, which is the highest quality, non-toxic, no VOC, and most importantly, food-grade. At the end of this interactive beginners' resin workshop, you will have two cheeseboards (a large and a small) plus the confidence to continue exploring your creativity with resin!
Note:
  • An array of colours will be available for you to choose from on the day.
  • This class is suited to those aged 16 and above (under 16s need to be accompanied by a paying adult and discussed with the teacher prior to class) and is not suitable if you are pregnant. No experience is necessary, all levels welcome.
  • Pieces require a minimum of 12 hours to set/cure, so they will need to be picked up from the venue the following day. Postage of boards after class is available for $20.
  • Boards are subject to availability and may be different from photos, but there will be a good selection for you to choose from.
