Recent reviews of Resin Cheeseboard and Sip Class

  • 3/5 from Deb & Simon King, attended Sep 2026: Class was ok however venue was changed day of class with email providing poor directions and confusing addresses. Traffic was bad due to sporting event in the city and as a result we were 8 minutes late. Lifts were closed off so we couldn't get to the floor we were after. No phone number to call for the host so spent time chasing down a security guard - not really good enough for the price. Expected better.
  • 5/5 from Sarah Tetlow, attended Aug 2026: Very good clear instructions, easy to do and fun making our cheese boards. Would recommend
  • 4/5 from Cindy Lu, attended Jun 2026: Good session, with intro demo and materials explanation. Then the practical part, good flow.
  • 5/5 from Nicole Schaer, attended May 2026: Wow what a great class. Great price to start with. Really enjoyed the session. Great host. It was so enjoyable and my resin board turned out so nice. I'd recommend to anyone and we'll be back to do a paint and sip for sure.

  • 5/5 from Bernadette Dolan, attended May 2025: Enjoyed the resin class. Wesley is an old hand at this and knew his stuff. Venue was excellent and class members were very welcoming
  • 3/5 from Priscilla Cain, attended May 2025: Resin board was way too small for the price of the class. We had a nice time as we had a good table of people. Instructor was knowledgeable and laid back. Resin board was tiny! That part was disappointing! No wonder the dimensions of the board were not on the website. It’s an $8 board from ikea. It should have been bigger, even their $12 boards would have made a huge difference! But that would have required more resin. Don’t recommend this class here.
  • 5/5 from Leonie Curnow, attended Apr 2025: A great afternoon. The instructor was informative and led us through creating our cheeseboards beautifully.
  • 5/5 from Cintia Papp, attended Feb 2025: I really enjoyed this class. Even though it was not my first time working with resin, I still managed to learn new ways to use it and general tricks with it. The teacher was really thororugh making the class suitable for beginners as well. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Fun class to do!
  • 5/5 from Faith Winnett, attended Feb 2025: Christmas gift voucher/best friend fun. Great instruction, supervision and support. Finished product was awesome.
  • 3/5 from Roshma Mathew, attended Feb 2025: was a good experience overall, but we kind of expected a bit more actual activity time
  • 5/5 from Anup Devane, attended Jan 2025: Very well organised and delivered workshop by a highly knowledgeable teacher in a fun and friendly environment. Definitely more than what one can expect for that price. Learning new techniques to see our own resin art coming into reality. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great experience.

  • 4/5 from Donna Parker, attended Nov 2024: we made resin cheeseboards it was a really good experience
  • 4/5 from Micaela Rae, attended Nov 2024: Engaging teacher, happy with the fjnal product and wnjoyed it. A pretty simple technique, whole class could have been 30mins. Putting sip in the title does indicate drinks are available there, which they're not.
  • 3/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Nov 2024: It was a "ho-hum" kind of experience. The instructor was not an exciting presenter. He knew his spiel, and was very safety conscious, which was excellent, but I didn't feel that creativity was especially encouraged or facilitated. It was very matter-of-fact, just do this, this and this and we're all doing a beach scene cause it is easiest. The sip part of "Resin and sip" was BYO sip, but didn't realise it was BYO till we got to the class, and being a Sunday afternoon most things in the center were closed. No music, excited chatter or laughter accompanied the session, which is indicitative of the atmosphere. I'm sure this would be different if you went with a group of others, but our session was just pairs of people. We were done within an hour. Whilst happy with the board I brought home, it certainly wasn't half resin- half chopping space like the pics... we really only had resin for a narrow band along the board. But it was a relatively inexpensive activity that filled in a Sunday afternoon.
  • 5/5 from Vanessa Franks, attended Oct 2024: Great fun for a friends’ night out and our cheeseboards turned out well! Thank you very much.

  • 5/5 from Kathleen Rebgetz, attended Oct 2024: The teacher was friendly and engaging. We did the Resin class as early Christmas present for my friend. The instructions were easy to follow, and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. I am not very creative and my friend is but we were both able to leave with a resin board we were pleased with. I would recommend this class to anyone.

Providing social art classes in beautiful South Brisbane

4.7 (2,504)

I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.
I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.
I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.
I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.
I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. I believe in bringing these experiences to the customer at the very best competitive price possible, the real Australian Way. We have the largest range of paintings available with over 80 paintings on the gallery page of Wesley Taylor Art Studios, with the painting for each week found on the web page.
We hope you enjoy these sessions for a fun experience. The paintings are creative for maximum impact of colors, while keeping in mind first-time painting experiences. Those with a little more practice will create some amazing pieces.
Let us plan your special events!
“Everyone has an artistic flair and simply needs to be pointed in the right direction."
The Wesley Taylor Art Studios Mission initially set out to create workshops at half the cost of other workshops for customers to be able to enjoy the experience of creating a piece of artwork. This endeavor was to create the foundation of employing artists with a like-minded sense of assisting customers to enjoy this time out while creating new art experiences. The goals of value for money for customers and employment for artists to run these fun activities that may mark a milestone, a birthday, a hen's party, a social activity, a first date, or company team-building events to build and strengthen relationships with a common bond of creating something new.
