What you'll do
Looking for fun things to do in Melbourne? Join our resin art workshop with Art Tree Creations!
This art form is all on trend and this class will provide you with everything you need to know about it. For all levels from beginners to experienced, our talented artists will walk you through all the knowledge to create your very own serving board and matching set of coasters.
This class will cover:
- What is resin and safety required using it
- The application and suitable surfaces
- Explore the mixing of different pigments and colour
- Design your own artwork and use your own colour choice
- Learn the trade secrets in creating the perfect high gloss finish
You will get a timber serving board that you have created your very own resin art on the handle and a set of four matching coasters. All completed by yourself with ongoing support and knowledge to assist your future resin projects.
This is a sticky and messy medium that you will get absolutely addicted to so book yourself into one of our art workshops today!
Please note:
- The resin will take a min of 48hrs to dry so you will also need to arrange to collect your artwork within the following week or organise shipping on the day of your class.
- Shipping can be purchased on the workshop day at a flat rate of $15 for Australia-wide. International will incur an additional fee.
- Resin art is not suitable for children and attendees need to be 16 years+ due to undeveloped lungs in children and the nature of toxins in resin. It is also not suitable for pregnant women.

What you'll get

- You can bring your lunch along. We have a toaster sandwich press and microwave available for use or 7/11 is just up the road.
- Wear old clothes as it might get messy.

Your teacher
First starting in 2011, Art Tree Creations taught classes in creating your own resin wall art from the family home garage. Shortly after, due to limited supply we started making art boards and colour pigment for colouring resin.
This seems like so long ago (about 450 classes ago) but there are some things that have't changed.
Art Tree Creations is still a family owned business that is dedicated to teaching people how to do various mixed media art forms properly and safely. We have a fantastic team that has grown over the years who are all focused on doing the best we can for our customers, from advice to getting your orders sent as quickly as we can.
Our range of products has grown over the years but we still hold true to our original goal. We only sell products that we have expert knowledge of because we teach, demonstrate, manufacture and use them weekly.
