School Holiday Jewellery Class - Make a Keyring or Pendant

A creative school holiday session for junior makers learning to texture metal for jewellery.

8+ years & Adults     1.5 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests

$65 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Get creative these school holidays and make something that tells your story!
In this fun, hands-on, one-hour taster class, young makers will choose to create either a personalised keyring or pendant from copper or brass. They’ll learn how to safely use jewellery-making tools to add texture, words, symbols, and patterns to metal.
Using a variety of metal stamps and hammers, each participant can tell a story that is meaningful to them—perhaps inspired by their interests, favourite places, special people, or imagination.
No experience is needed, and there is no soldering involved. Sarah will guide everyone step by step in a relaxed, supportive environment where experimentation and individual creativity are encouraged.
Each participant will leave with their own finished keyring or pendant, new jewellery-making skills, and the joy of saying, “I made this!”
All tools and materials are included. Please wear closed-toe shoes and tie long hair back.

Sarah Munnings was working in the corporate world of finance and when she was struck down by a devastating mystery illness. Tests, more tests, and months of trips to doctors led to the diagnoses of Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain condition). This led to Sarah to rediscover her creativity as her own personal form of rehabilitation and become a self-taught jeweller who developed a table top jewellery practice in her kitchen.
She now teaches others the amazing creations that can be made using copper, silver and brass. She uses traditional techniques of forging, soldering and texturing metal, and is passionate about using tools that are easily accessible so that her guests at workshops can continue their journey of discovery at home.
