This class blends traditional scrapbooking with the innovative flair of junk journaling and offers a canvas for you to unleash your creativity.
Remember all your memorabilia you've kept from your family holidays or friends' trips but just live in a box. Well, in this class, you can bring them out to commemorate in a creative way and enjoy making them into something special.
You'll learn how to create a scrapbook junk journal, providing a unique space to carefully curate and reflect on your cherished memories, both past and yet to be made, by creating yet to be filled in pages with journal prompts.
What to expect:
  • Embrace a mix of new, recycled, upcycled, and personal materials to craft a one-of-a-kind scrapbook junk journal.
  • Discover various techniques to construct and adorn your journal, whether it's capturing family holidays or expressing your creativity through prompts and space in your journal to capture poetry and songs.
  • Materials like magazines, pastels, acrylic, pens and paint, collage pieces, stickers, fabric, lace, ribbons, stamps, embellishments and more will be at your disposal to bring your vision to life.
  • Feel free to bring personal items such as photos, ticket stubs, letters, and other keepsakes and ephemera to incorporate into your creation.
Throughout the workshop, you'll be immersed in a supportive environment, igniting your imagination and inspiring you to continue this artistic journey at home. Take home not just a beautifully crafted journal, but also a newfound passion for creative expression to be shared with your loved ones.
Note: This is an adults' workshop; however, we accept 13 years plus with a paying participating adult if you'd like to enjoy and create together.
