Sentimental Rice Jewellery Making Workshop

Create wearable jewellery with rice fabric in Melbourne

1.5 hours Class size 1 to 8

label $98 (or 4 payments of $24.50 Afterpay)

Join us for a unique jewellery making class in Melbourne workshop where you will learn how to create beautiful wearable pieces using rice fabric. Led by the jeweller Vivian Qiu, this two-hour experience will not only teach you hands-on techniques but also provide a space for self-reflection and healing.

The creation of rice fabric was inspired by her Chinese culture. When she was sick as a kid, her mum would make her plain rice congee. It’s a comforting and healing food. Rice fabric is the essence of the sentimental/self-healing design journey. It is crispy and crunchy and smells natural rice aroma.

In this two-hour workshop, you will have the opportunity to make one piece of jewellery to take home, whether it be a necklace, bracelet, earrings, or pendant. Discover the joy of creative expression as you immerse yourself in this transformative experience.
