I now feel a whole lot more confident about being able to do basic work with my little sewing machine, and my other half has already suggested that a decent full-sized one might be worth considering. I have my eye on another session, to equip me with skills for constructing cushion covers -- I don't yet know how to set in zippers, being the obvious. So not only was it well worth attending, but I hope to be back soon.

She packed so much information and content into that timeframe, so it was good value for money and worth our time. Wed highly recommend this to anyone wanting to try out sewing.

I am so glad I did! This class was so much fun, Kate was a great teacher who explained everything clearly and patiently and took us through all the basics. Finishing the class with a drawstring bag that I'd made felt great. Seem I don't hate sewing after all....and I'm going to investigate ongoing classes. Very easy to use the gift card to book.

The teacher (Gaye) was super helpful and patient which made me feel comfortable even when I made mistakes. I like that we were taught at a good pace, and we were able to go over some stuff which we didn't understand. Didn't feel like 3 hours at all! I am looking forward to the next class!

I felt very nervous as she got straight into it with sewing language I had never heard but felt I was able to keep up. At the end of the 3-hour course I can say I feel confident in being able to thread the machine and continue practicing straight lines and zigzag seams. I highly recommend this for people that are complete beginners. I especially think it's best to bring a machine if you have one because she made sure we each knew how to use our own machine which was very handy.
