We are thrilled to bring Silk Screen Printmaking to Sorrento, Victoria. This beginner-friendly workshop will introduce you to the basics of screen printing, gaining an understanding of the equipment and materials needed.
We use eco-friendly water-based inks, and you will be creating a paper stencil design and experimenting on a supplied calico bag. You are welcome to bring a white t-shirt or apron, pillowcase, or tea towel for extra prints. Everyone will be provided with a tote bag that you can print with your original design and take home.
Extra bags are available to purchase at $5 each.
We also have many designs exposed on screens that you are welcome to experiment with throughout the class.
This is a fun class for both adults and children, focused on learning the basic techniques and then exploring the myriad ways screen printing can be utilized. Come along, grab a squeegee, and get creative.
Please note: If there is a more complex image you would like exposed onto a screen, please contact your teacher one week prior to your workshop to discuss this. There is an additional charge of $90 for exposing your own artwork onto screens.
