What you'll do

Design and make a ring that's genuinely your own, in real sterling silver or solid 9ct gold, right in the heart of Richmond. You'll walk out wearing it the same day.

Over two relaxed hours, our craftsmen guide you through the fundamentals of silver and goldsmithing: sawing, annealing, soldering, filing and polishing. It's proper hands-on making, and it's beginner-friendly, so you don't need any experience to end up with something beautiful.

Then comes the fun part, making it yours. Choose the size, the shape and the finish, and add lettering or numbering inside or out, whether that's a name, a date or something only you'll know is there.

Because you're working with solid silver or gold, your ring is water, sweat and rust-proof. This isn't a keepsake for the drawer, it's something you'll actually wear for years. In fact, we're so confident in the quality that we offer free repairs and free resizing whenever you need them.

Perfect for a date night, a creative afternoon with friends, or a corporate event with a difference. Private bookings are available too, if you'd like the studio all to yourselves.

We had some Turkish coffee, which was yummy (this is included) I would highly recommend coming to do ring making, I will definitely be back, really had a good time.

We purchased the addition of a charcuterie board which was cancelled a few days prior, with no explanation. When we arrived, the staff had no idea about our booking and were clearly confused and scrambling. The jeweller who was meant to run the class didn’t even know it was scheduled and didn’t show up. Jen offered to reschedule our booking for a later date when he was available, but since this was our planned Valentine’s activity, we decided to continue with the class. Jem, did a good job with what she had, she was knowledgeable but due to the mix up, unprepared. Aside from offering to reschedule, no other rectification was provided. There was a wood whittling class happening right next to us, which made the experience feel less about the craft and more about filling the space. The lettering stamps we included in our rings were 2.5mm in height, which only allowed for half a mm of leeway on the 3mm ring. This affected the outcome of the design. If our booking hadn’t been missed, the charcuterie hadn’t been cancelled, the space had been set up, they teacher had come, the space was more private, and a discount offered, this would be a different review. However for $1000, this experience fell far short of expectations has left a lot to be desired.

My only recommendation would be to have a strict start time as our teacher needed to focus on teaching some aspects of the class to people who arrived late - which set us back. Props to our teacher though who worked hard to accommodate and extended the class to ensure everyone had their rings done. If you're reading this potential student, please arrive on time, there is only one teacher and 8 students working with flames, flux and metal. Highly recommend this class to anyone wanting a forever piece of jewelry that is more special than bought.
