Lesson 1 – Watercolour Foundations
Explore essential watercolour techniques including water and pigment control, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, washes, edges and simple textures.
Lesson 2 – Introduction to Loose Flowers
Explore colour mixing and practise creating simple flowers and leaves using loose and expressive brushwork.
Lesson 3 - Introduction to Landscapes
Create a simple landscape while exploring skies, trees, distance, depth and atmospheric effects.
Lesson 4 - Introduction to Sea Scape
Create a simple seascape while exploring water, reflections, waves, wet sand and atmospheric colour.
Lesson 5 - Introduction to City Scape
Explore a simple urban scene using basic perspective, loose architectural shapes, ink lines, washes and shadows.
Lesson 6 – Introduction to Portrait
Explore the basics of watercolour portrait painting, including simple facial proportions, skin-tone mixing, light and shadow.
