Hello, I’m Sorour.

I'm a multidisciplinary artist, bookbinder, and educator based in Canaipa / Russell Island, Qld.

With over three decades of experience across Australia, the UK, Iran, and Lithuania, I’ve explored drawing, bookbinding, mixed media, Persian calligraphy, and pattern-drafting. My work has been exhibited internationally, and in 2024 I was a finalist in the Brisbane Portrait Prize, and Redland Art Award.

I love teaching as much as creating art. My classes are relaxed, supportive, and designed for beginners and experienced artists alike. Together, we explore techniques, connect with the process, and express ourselves through creativity and curiosity.
