Welcome to our hands-on South African cooking class in Brisbane led by our amazing South African Chef Sean Webber.
The South African Menu includes :
Available Gluten Free and Vegetarian
  • Biltong, Peppadew and Feta Tart: Make your own pastry from scratch.
  • Bunny Chow with Chicken and Prawn Curry: Plus freshly baked rolls that you’ve handmade
  • Malva Pudding: Baked dessert with an Amaretto (optional, but we know you want it!)
Dietaries - only the 'available dietaries' listed with the Menu are catered for. We cannot cater to other dietaries for this class.
VZ Class format is a mixture of demonstration and group cooking practices. Instead of individual work stations, students will work in pairs and cook in groups of 4. And afterwards, enjoy a feast of the meals prepared. Demonstration aspects of classes ensure we cover enough content to make you into a fabulous chef.
Your cooking class begins with a heart-warming welcome, introduction and chat with your fellow budding chefs. Then pop on your apron, get into the kitchen and start cooking. You will work in small groups of about two on a table of four as your Chef guides you step by step. In this class, you will learn the tricks and tips for making the perfect pastry and delicious curry. On top of that, you will also have the opportunity to learn a traditional sweet dish---the fabulously decadent Malva Pudding. This class is fun and informative, and will teach you how to produce stunning authentic dishes that are steeped in tradition and flavour!
Come along, learn, eat, laugh and enjoy. Or maybe you just want to learn the secrets of cooking something new that your friends and family will think has come straight from the local takeaway. Solo, bring a friend or partner, or bring the whole family!
Support Workers, Interpreters, Aids. Everyone must book and pay to enter. NDIS participants are highly recommended to bring Support Workers because of how the class runs (working in pairs etc). Please contact us to organise a discounted price for the Support Worker, Interpreter and Aids. Please be understanding, due to the layout of the class and safety & enjoyment of all guests, they must book in too.
