Join Vanilla Zulu Culinary Adventures for a relaxing Spanish cooking class in Brisbane!

Take a journey through Spanish cuisine and its history as the chef introduces you to wonderful ingredients. Tapas are the perfect way to enjoy a meal, entertain friends and family or escape on a culinary adventure! You will learn a variety of versatile dishes that you can make on your own again and again.

The cooking class will start with a delightful plate of chef-prepared food before you start to cook up a storm! Help prepare a variety of Spanish tapas with the chef right by your side. 

Learn the art of delightful tapas as well as the art of culinary bling where you will plate and create your own presentation plate for each course before indulging in our delicious feast! These classes are small and interactive and are perfect for all confidence or skill levels. You will work as a group to create fabulous Spanish dishes and eat the feast prepared.

You'll learn valuable chef skills that will benefit your everyday meal preparation as well as give you the confidence to present meals at their very best, with the art of culinary bling plating and styling techniques.

Sample Menu:

  •  Toro's Ears - fragrant water biscuit bark with saffron and black pepper
  •  Spiced butterbean puree with truffle oil and chorizo gravel
  •  Chorizo and porcini croquette with saffron and verjuice mayo
  • Spanish belly with perfect crackling served on paprika-spiced puree and glamourous roasted vegetable stack
  •  Catalan Citrus Custard tart with a vanilla dollop, spun sugar nests and flaming orange brandy (optional)

Please note: 
  • The class is held in a fully licensed venue so you are unable to BYO.
  • Groups of four or more guests will get their own private table.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The chef was incredible, the resources were useful, it was my first ever cooking class and being a coeliac I felt so included and also safe! Luciana led us through three beautiful savory Spanish tapas dishes and then yummy dessert. She was great! Nice to have Spanish-speaking chef from Argentina. Great course for any level of cooking skills. They catered for another attendee who needed gluten-free and lactose free ingredients. It was great to taste the natilla made on coconut cream she made. I think I’ll use that instead too when I make it. Highly recommend this course and instructor. Only tip: there is so much left over, you need to bring lots of containers to take the left overs home
