Whether you're a devoted cat lover, a proud dog parent, or simply someone who enjoys making beautiful things by hand, this stained glass workshop is a wonderful way to celebrate our beloved furry companions.
In this beginner-friendly taster workshop, you'll discover the timeless art of stained glass using the Tiffany Technique (copper foiling). Guided step by step, you'll transform colourful glass pieces into a charming pet-themed artwork that sparkles in the sunlight and adds warmth to any space.
Choose one design to create:
  • A stained glass cat tealight holder/suncatcher
  • A stained glass dog tealight holder/suncatcher
As daylight shines through the coloured glass, your handmade piece will come alive with colour and light. Place it in a sunny window, on a shelf, or beside a glowing tealight to create a delightful feature that celebrates your love of pets.
During this workshop, you'll learn:
  • How to choose and work with different types of stained glass
  • Glass-cutting techniques for both straight lines and curves
  • The fundamentals of the Tiffany copper foil method
  • Soldering techniques including tacking, beading, and wire attachment
  • Finishing techniques to give your work a polished, professional look
What you'll get
  • All materials, tools, and safety equipment provided
  • Expert instruction throughout the workshop
  • Small class sizes for personalised support
  • Perfect for individuals, couples, friends, birthdays, date nights, or anyone looking for a memorable creative experience
By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with newfound stained glass skills, a sense of accomplishment, and a beautiful cat or dog suncatcher and tealight holder that will brighten your home long after the class is over. Hi, I'm Lena, a glass enthusiast, artist, and lifelong lover of making things with my hands.

My journey into glass began with a simple engraving project and quickly grew into a fascination with all things glass. Since then, I've explored glass blowing, lampworking, leadlighting, and copper foil stained glass, with formal training at Melbourne Polytechnic helping to turn a creative curiosity into a true passion.
What I love most about glass is its ability to transform with light, colour, and a little bit of magic. Through my workshops, I enjoy helping others discover the joy of creating with glass, learn new skills, and leave with a handmade piece they're proud of.

Founded by artist Lena in 2023, 3minheat.art celebrates curiosity, creativity and the joy of exploring new ideas through glass art.
The name "3minheat" comes from a phrase Lena often heard growing up, describing her tendency to become intensely interested in something before moving on to the next passion. Years later, following an ADHD diagnosis, she realised that what others saw as inconsistency was actually curiosity, adaptability and a love of learning.
Today, 3minheat.art is a reflection of that journey. It embraces the spark of inspiration, the excitement of discovery and the belief that creativity doesn't have to follow a single path. By transforming a once-critical label into a positive one, Lena created a brand that celebrates individuality, self-acceptance and the courage to follow one's curiosity wherever it leads.
