Reviews from last weekend's activities

Chi Ka

I attended Nicole’s casebound bookbinding workshop at Artocracy in Brunswick. The class was fantastic to say the least, beautiful papers were spread out for us to choose from, templates designed by Nicole herself (and available to buy!) Everything was carefully thought out for an easy to follow class. I left feeling amazed at the book I was able to produce and feeling very confident to make more  + more

My friend and I loved Amy's class. It was a small class of us. There was so many patterns to choose from and Amy was great at her craft. Highly recommend

We had a really fun time with Michelle and Maureen making a bauble and paperweight. Michelle was always guiding and supporting us so it didn’t feel unsafe or hard. It was a unique and cool experience.

Paty and her family were absolutely lovely and welcoming. I’m a complete beginner so I was really slow and didn’t end up finishing mine, but Paty kindly allowed us to stay back an extra hour to work on it. She made us try a few different techniques and came around to each person to give tips and advice. I can honestly say I’m more confident in the basics now and am looking forward to attempt  + more

I loved this class, and had so much fun learning something new. Alma took the time to explain everything in detail and was a very good teacher. I ended up with a bowl - something that I never thought that I'd be able to make with my own hands! Loved it, and would definately do it again!

What a great way to spend Easter Sunday, learning the art of book binding. Nicole’s knowledge of book binding is outstanding and her patience with people learning the skills is excellent. The group of people were great to be with, Ruth’s cake being another highlight. I would recommend this course to people of all ages.
